High Speed Photography refers to taking photos of very fast phenomena. As defined by the SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers) this is any set of photographs captured by a camera capable of 128 frames per second or greater and of at least three consecutive frames.
Thus a simple high speed photo of an ordinary event allows us to view the event in another dimension, a frozen-in-time event. The above photos are taken from digitalphotozone.com.
