free pizza
A slight technical error cost Domino’s Pizza 11,000 free pizzas recently. Somebody discovered a promo code that worked in an online promotion that had been scrapped in December. This entitled him to a free medium pizza.
As with everything in life, when it’s free, word spreads fast and the whole world knows. Before you could even blink an eye, Domino’s Pizza stores were flooded with requests they had to comply with. By the time the mistake was discovered and the code was deactivated, 11,000 pizzas were delivered free.
But there’s no denying it was good (although not free) publicity for the company.
